Internationalization

In 2006, WPD started an overseas operation in Angola, where eight hospitals benefit from WPD knowledge and tools for healthcare management. Despite Portuguese being the country’s language, WPD software was submitted to a full localization process, since there are important differences in business culture, operation and also the language.

 
The company used this experience to set up software and services for the international market, aiming at becoming the leader in Latin American, and in the near future expanding its operations to countries under development and more mature markets such as Europe and USA.

WPD IT tool is ready for complex localization projects with detailed specifications, including language, business models and local legislation (taxes and medical practices). The software is based on a framework where parameters are adjusted to the hospital operation, such as:
